Corpus Christi: A Commemorative Religious Holiday
In São Paulo, for instance, Corpus Christi is considered a municipal holiday. Banks and the Brazilian Stock Exchange, B3, will not open on Thursday (30), but will operate normally on Friday (31) and bills will be due. Therefore, it is advisable to check if you will have to work on May 30 and 31 or if there will be any kind of compensation, such as a bank hours discount, for example. A business day, Friday is also the deadline for filing the 2024 Income Tax Return.
Those working in a federal public office can enjoy the extended leave and combine it with the weekend. The optional point for employees, which was already scheduled for Thursday (30), has been extended to Friday (31).
